It's insane...

It's crazy to hate all the roses because one of you hit.
Deliver all your dreams because one of them did not come true,
Losing faith in all prayers because in one was not attended to,
Give up all efforts because one of them failed.
It is foolish to condemn all friendships because one betrayed you,
To disclose all love because one of them has been unfaithful to you.
It's crazy to throw away all chances of being happy because one attempt did not work out.
I hope that in your walk you do not commit these follies.
Remembering that there is always another chance, another friendship, another love, a new strength.
For every end a restart!

They are in peace.

1 But the souls of the just are in the hand of God and no torment of death will touch them.
2 In the eyes of the foolish, they seemed to die, and their departure was considered an affliction,
3 and their going away from us, a banishment. Yet they are in peace.
4 And though, in the sight of men, they suffered torments, their hope is full of immortality.
5 Troubled in few things, in many things they will be well compensated, because God has tested them and found them worthy of himself.
6 Like gold in the furnace, he has proved them, and as a holocaust victim, he has received them, and in the time of their visitation
7 they will shine, and they will dash about like sparks among stubble.
8 They will judge the nations and they will rule over the people, and their Lord will reign forever.
9 Those who trust in him, will understand the truth, and those who are faithful in love will rest in him, because grace and peace is for his elect.
10 But the impious will be chastised according to their thoughts, for they have neglected the just and have retreated from the Lord.
11 For whoever abandons wisdom and instruction is unhappy, and their hope is empty, and their labors without fruit, and their works useless.
12 Their wives are foolish and their sons are wicked; the things that serve them are accursed.
13 Therefore, fertile is the barren and undefiled, who has not known transgressions in bed; she will bear fruit by caring for holy souls.
14 And fertile is the celibate, who has not wrought iniquity with his hands, nor thought wickedness against God; for to him will be given a special gift of faith and a very welcome place in the temple of the Lord.
15 For the fruit of good labors is glorious and the root of wisdom shall never perish.
16 But the sons of adulterers will not reach completion, and the offspring of a sinful bed will be banished.
17 And if they live long, they will be counted as nothing, and their last years of old-age will be without honor.
18 And if they die quickly, they will have no hope, nor words of comfort on the day of reckoning.
19 For the iniquities of the people have a dreadful result.

10 Mas por causa da sua maneira de pensar, os que vivem sem Deus serão os castigados;

I am merely a stranger visiting your home...

A prayer for forgiveness
1 I told myself, “I'll be careful not to sin by what I say, and I'll muzzle my mouth when evil people are near.”
2 I kept completely silent, but it did no good, but … good: One possible meaning for the difficult Hebrew text. and I suffered even more.
3 I felt a fire burning inside, and the more I thought, the more it burnt, until at last I said:
4 “Please, LORD, show me my future. Will I soon be gone?
5 You made my life short, so brief that the time means nothing to you.
“Human life is but a breath, 6 and it disappears like a shadow.
Our struggles are senseless; we store up more and more, without ever knowing who will get it all.
7 “What am I waiting for? I depend on you, Lord!
8 Save me from my sins. Don't let fools sneer at me.
9 You treated me like this, and I kept silent, not saying a word.
10 “Won't you stop punishing me? You have worn me down.
11 You punish us severely because of our sins.
Like a moth, you destroy what we treasure most. We are as frail as a breath.
12 “Listen, LORD, to my prayer! My eyes are flooded with tears, as I pray to you.
I am merely a stranger visiting your home as my ancestors did.
13 Stop being angry with me and let me smile again before I am dead and gone.”

Então comecei a perguntar:
4“Ó Senhor Deus, quanto tempo ainda vou viver?
Mostra-me como é passageira a minha vida.
12 Ó Senhor Deus, ouve a minha oração!
Escuta o meu pedido.

The Lord is my fortress!

Trusting the Lord
1 The Lord is my fortress!
Don't say to me, “Escape like a bird to the mountains!”
2 You tell me, “Watch out!
Those evil people have put their arrows on their bows, and they are standing in the shadows,
aiming at good people.
3 What can an honest person do when everything crumbles?”
4 The Lord is sitting in his sacred temple on his throne in heaven.
He knows everything we do because he sees us all.
5 The Lord tests honest people, but despises those who are cruel and love violence.
6 He will send fiery coals11.6 fiery coals: Or “trouble, fire.” and flaming sulfur down on the wicked, and they will drink nothing but a scorching wind.
7 The Lord always does right and wants justice done. Everyone who does right will see his face.
