1 COMPORTAMENTO NOS BANQUETES

Escolheram-te para presidir a festa? Não te ensoberbeças: sê entre todos como se fosses um deles.

2 Ocupa-te com eles e depois senta-te; cumpridas todas as tuas obrigações, põe-te à mesa.

3 Então te alegrarás por causa deles e, por razões de mérito, receberás a coroa, alcançando o reconhecimento dos convidados. A palavra do mais velho

4 Fala, tu que és o mais velho; pois a ti convém 5 a primeira palavra, com comprovada ciência, mas não impeças a música.

6 Durante o banquete, não prolongues o discurso e não faças ostentação de sabedoria inoportunamente.

7 Como pedra de esmeralda em ornamento de ouro, assim é o concerto de músicos num banquete com vinho; 8 como, num engaste de ouro, avulta o sinete de esmeralda, assim é o conjunto dos músicos com o vinho alegre e moderado.

9 Ouve calado, e pelo respeito demonstrado conseguirás a simpatia.

10 A PALAVRA DO JOVEM

Adolescente, fala em teu interesse uma vez; 11 duas vezes no máximo, se tiveres sido interrogado.

12 Repete a fala, dizendo muito em poucas palavras; porta-te como quem sabe, mas ao mesmo tempo cala-te.

13 No meio dos grandes não banques o presunçoso; da mesma forma, onde há idosos não fales muito.

14 Como o relâmpago vem antes do trovão, à frente do modesto vai a simpatia.

15 Na hora de levantar-te, não te demores; sê o primeiro a retirar-te, voltando para casa. Lá te diverte, lá brinca; 16 realiza teus desígnios, mas não peques com palavras arrogantes.

17 E por todas essas coisas bendize a Deus, que te criou e te inebria de todos os seus dons.

18 QUEM TEME O SENHOR…

Quem teme o Senhor acolhe a instrução; quem madrugar para Ele, encontrará a bênção.

19 Quem procura a Lei, dela será repleto; quem, porém, age insidiosamente, nela tropeçará.

20 Os que temem o Senhor encontrarão um juízo justo e acenderão suas boas obras como um luzeiro.

21 Um pecador evita a correção e encontra justificativas segundo o seu capricho.

22 Uma pessoa de bom senso não despreza a inteligência; o estrangeiro e o soberbo não têm nenhum temor, 23 mesmo quando age sozinho e sem conselheiro, ele será castigado pelos seus próprios desígnios.

24 Filho, nada faças sem reflexão, e não virás a arrepender-te depois.

25 Não andes pelo caminho da ruína e não tropeçarás duas vezes nas pedras; não te metas por um caminho inexplorado e não darás à tua alma ocasião de queda.

26 Guarda-te de teus próprios filhos e toma cuidado com os teus servos. 27 pois também isto é observar os mandamentos.

28 Quem acredita na Lei atende aos mandamentos: quem confia no Senhor, não sofrerá dano algum.

1 BEHAVIOR IN BANQUETS

Did they choose you to preside over the party? Be not arrogant: be as one among them as one.

2 Take care of them and then sit down; do all your obligations, put yourself to the table.

3 Then you will rejoice over them, and for meritorious reasons you will receive the crown, reaching the recognition of the guests. The word of the eldest 

4 Speak, thou that art the elder; because it suits you 5 the first word, with proven science, but do not impede music.

6 At the banquet, do not prolong your speech, and do not make display of wisdom untimely.

7 As an emerald stone in gold ornament, so is a musician's covenant at a feast with wine;

8 As in a setting of gold, the emerald signet, so is the assembly of the musicians with the wine, cheerful and moderate.

9 Listen quietly, and out of respect you will gain sympathy.

10 THE WORD OF THE YOUNG

Teenager, speak to you once; 11 twice if you have been interrogated.

12 He repeats speech, saying much in a few words; Behave as you may know, but at the same time shut up.

13 In the midst of the great, do not hold the presumptuous; in the same way, where there are old people do not speak much.

14 As the lightning comes before the thunder, in front of the modest goes the sympathy.

15 When it is time to get up, do not delay; Be the first to retreat, returning home. There you have fun, there play;

16 Realize your purposes, but do not sin with arrogant words.

17 And in all these things bless God, who created you and made you jealous of all his gifts.

18 WHO FEARS THE LORD ...

He who fears the Lord receives instruction; whoever rises to him will find the blessing.

19 He who seeks the Law will be filled with it; But he that doeth iniquity shall stumble at it.

20 Those who fear the Lord will find a righteous judgment and will kindle their good works as a light.

21 A sinner avoids correction and finds justification at his whim.

22 A wise person does not despise intelligence; the stranger and the proud have no fear,

23 Even when he acts alone and without counselor, he will be punished for his own purposes.

24 Son, do nothing without reflection, and you will  not regret it later.

25 Do not walk in the way of ruin, and you will not stumble twice on the stones; do not set yourself on an unexplored path and you will not give your soul a chance to fall.

26 Take heed to thine own children, and beware of thy servants.

27 For this also is keeping the commandments.

28 He that believeth in the law keepeth the commandments: he that trusteth in the Lord shall not suffer any hurt.

Ecclesiasticus, 22

"6.An untimely explanation is like music in a time of mourning. But the sharp correction and doctrine of wisdom are ever timely. 

7.Whoever teaches the foolish is like someone who glues together a broken pot. 

8.Whoever explains a word to one who is not listening is like someone who suddenly awakens a sleeping person from a deep sleep. 

9.Whoever explains wisdom to the senseless is like one speaking to a sleeping person. And at the end of the explanation, he says: “Who is this?” 

10.Weep over the dead, for his light has failed. And weep over the foolish, for his understanding has failed. 

11.Weep only a little over the dead, for he is at rest. 

12.But the wicked life of a wicked fool is worse than death. 

13.The mourning for the dead is seven days; but for the foolish and the impious, it is all the days of their life. 

14.You should not talk at length with the foolish, and you should not go with the senseless. 15.Keep yourself from him, so that you may not have problems, and so that you will not be polluted by his sin. 

16.Turn away from him, and you will find rest, and you will not be discouraged by his foolishness. 

17.What is heavier than lead? And what else can he be called but foolish? 

18.Sand, and salt, and an iron weight are each easier to bear than an imprudent man, who is both foolish and impious. 

19.A bundle of wood strapped together in the foundation of a building will not be loosened. And similar is the heart that has been strengthened by thoughtful counsel. 

20.The thoughts of one who is understanding will not be corrupted by fear in any situation. 

21.Just as chaff in a high place, or a wall made of mortar without stones set within, will not continue against the face of the wind, 22.so also a timid heart, and the thoughts of the senseless, will not withstand the forcefulness of fear. 

23.Despite a cowardly heart, the thoughts of the foolish will not fear any situation; yet neither will one who continues always in the precepts of God. 

24.He who jabs an eye produces tears. And he who jabs the heart produces understanding. 

25.He who throws a stone at birds will drive them away. So also, he who accuses his friend dissolves the friendship. 

26.But if you have drawn a sword against a friend, you should not despair; for there may be a way back. 

27.If you have opened a harsh mouth against a friend, you should not fear; for there may be a reconciliation. However, if there are accusations, or abuse, or arrogance, or the revealing of secrets, or a wound from deceitfulness, in all these cases, a friend will flee away.

6.Uma palavra inoportuna é música em dia de luto; a sabedoria, porém, emprega com oportunidade o chicote e a instrução. 
7.Instruir um insensato é tornar a ajustar um vaso quebrado; 
8.falar a quem não ouve é como despertar alguém de um sono profundo. 
9.Falar da sabedoria com um insensato é conversar com alguém que está adormecendo; no fim da conversa ele dirá: Que é? 
10.Chora sobre um morto, porque ele perdeu a luz; chora sobre um tolo, porque é falho de juízo. 
11.Chora menos sobre um morto, porque ele achou o repouso; 
12.a vida criminosa do mau, porém, é pior do que a morte. 
13.O luto por um morto dura sete dias, mas por um insensato e um ímpio, dura toda a sua vida. 
14.Não fales muito com um estulto; não convivas com o insensato. 
15.Acautela-te contra ele, para não seres incomodado; e não te mancharás com o contágio de seu pecado. 
16.Afasta-te dele: encontrarás repouso, e a sua loucura não te causará mágoa. 
17.O que há de mais pesado que o chumbo? E que outro nome dar-lhe a não ser o de insensato? 
18.É mais fácil carregar areia, sal ou uma barra de ferro, do que suportar o imprudente, o tolo e o ímpio. 
19.Um encaixamento de madeira adaptado aos alicerces de um edifício não se desconjunta. Assim é o coração firmado por uma decisão bem amadurecida. 
20.O desígnio de um homem sensato, em qualquer tempo que seja, não será alterado pelo temor. 
21.Como a estacada posta em lugar elevado e a parede sem argamassa não podem resistir à violência do vento, 22.assim um coração tímido, de pensamentos tolos, não pode resistir ao choque do temor. 
23.O coração medroso do insensato jamais tem temor em seus pensamentos; assim também o que não se apóia nos preceitos divinos. 
24.Quem machuca um olho, dele faz sair lágrimas; quem magoa um coração, nele excita a sensibilidade. 
25.Quem lança uma pedra aos pássaros, fá-los fugir; assim, quem insulta um amigo, rompe a amizade. 
26.Ainda que tenhas arrancado a espada contra o teu amigo, não desesperes; porque o regresso é possível. 
27.Ainda que tenhas dito contra ele palavras desagradáveis, não temas, porque a reconciliação é possível, salvo se se tratar de injúrias, afrontas, insolências, revelação de um segredo ou golpes à traição; em todos esses casos fugirá de ti o teu amigo. 

Aqueles que saíram chorando, levando a semente para semear, voltarão cantando...

Canção de peregrinos.

1 Quando o Senhor Deus nos trouxe de volta para Jerusalém, parecia que estávamos sonhando.

2 Como rimos e cantamos de alegria! Então as outras nações disseram: “O Senhor fez grandes coisas por eles!”

3 De fato, o Senhor fez grandes coisas por nós, e por isso estamos alegres.

4 Ó Senhor, faze com que prosperemos de novo, assim como a chuva enche de novo o leito seco dos rios.

5 Que aqueles que semeiam chorando façam a colheita com alegria!

6 Aqueles que saíram chorando, levando a semente para semear, voltarão cantando, cheios de alegria, trazendo nos braços os feixes da colheita.

Entendi, acho que a minha tarefa foi cumprida... 

Hora de seguir o meu caminho, obrigada meu Pai por te-la a mim confiado. 

Agradeço pela paz e a alegria que sinto agora.

Celebrating the Harvest

1 It seemed like a dream when the Lord brought us back to the city of Zion.126.1 brought … Zion: Or “made the city of Zion prosperous again.”

2 We celebrated with laughter and joyful songs.

In foreign nations it was said, “The Lord has worked miracles for his people.”

3 And so we celebrated because the Lord had indeed worked miracles for us.

4 Our Lord, we ask you to bless our people again, and let us be like streams in the Southern Desert.

5 We cried as we went out to plant our seeds. Now let us celebrate as we bring in the crops.

6 We cried on the way to plant our seeds, but we will celebrate and shout as we bring in the crops.

I understand, I think my task was fulfilled ...

Time to follow my path, thank you my Father for having entrusted it to me.

Thank you for the peace and joy I feel now.
