I have learned that much of what we swear to believe may be just another person's belief that we have not cleaned up.

That there may be some comfort in the tacit agreement of hypocrisy, but it does not make life sing.

That if we do not look attentively and generously at our feelings, we can spend a whole day without getting in touch with what really matters to us.

That what we really care about may not matter to anyone else and that does not matter at all.

That while we do not know each other at least a little bit, we will scribble notebooks and notebooks without writing anything that has meaning to us.

I have learned over time that when we judge we speak more of ourselves than of the other.

That slander happens when the heart has bad breath.

That respect is the virtue of elegant souls.

That empathy comes from intimate contact with the nuances of our own humanity.

That between what the other says and what we hear there are bridges or abysses,

Constructed or dug by the history that is his and by the history that is ours.

That selfishness speaks when fear stifles the voice of love.

Jerusalem Is Condemned

1 Some time later, the Lord said:

2 Ezekiel, son of man, are you ready to condemn Jerusalem? That city is filled with murderers, so remind the people of their sins 3 and tell them I am saying:

Jerusalem, you have murdered many of your own people and have worshiped idols. You will soon be punished! 4 Those crimes have made you guilty, and the idols have made you unacceptable to me. So your final punishment is near. Other nations will laugh at you and make insulting remarks, 5 and people far and near will make fun of your misery.

6 Your own leaders use their power to murder. 7 None of you honor your parents, and you cheat foreigners, orphans, and widows. 8 You show no respect for my sacred places and treat the Sabbath just like any other day. 9 Some of your own people tell lies, so that others will be put to death. Some of you eat meat sacrificed to idols at local shrines, and others never stop doing vulgar things. 10 Men have sex with their father's wife or with women who are having their monthly period 11 or with someone else's wife. Some men even sleep with their own daughter-in-law or half sister. 12 Others of you accept money to murder someone. Your own people charge high interest when making a loan to other Israelites, and they get rich by cheating. Worst of all, you have forgotten me, the Lord God.

13 I will shake my fist in anger at your violent crimes. 14 When I'm finished with you, your courage will disappear, and you will be so weak that you won't be able to lift your hands. I, the Lord, have spoken and will not change my mind. 15 I will scatter you throughout every nation on earth and put a stop to your sinful ways. 16 You will be humiliated in the eyes of other nations. Then you will know that I, the Lord God, have done these things.

Jerusalem Must Be Purified

17 The Lord said:

18 Ezekiel, son of man, I consider the people of Israel as worthless as the leftover metal in a furnace after silver has been purified. 19 So I am going to bring them together in Jerusalem. 20-21 I will be like a metalworker who collects that metal from the furnace and melts it down. I will collect the Israelites and blow on them with my fiery anger. They will melt inside the city of Jerusalem 22 like silver in a furnace. Then they will know that I, the Lord, have punished them in my anger.

Everyone in Jerusalem Is Guilty

23 The Lord said:

24 Ezekiel, son of man, tell the people of Israel that their country is full of sin, and that I, the Lord, am furious! 25 Their leaders are like roaring lions, tearing apart their victims. They put people to death, then steal everything of value. Husbands are killed, and many women are left as widows.

26   The priests of Israel ignore my Law! Not only do they refuse to respect any of my sacred things, but they don't even teach the difference between what is sacred and what is ordinary or between what is clean and what is unclean. They treat my Sabbath like any other day, and so my own people no longer honor me.

27 Israel's officials are like ferocious wolves, ripping their victims apart. They make a dishonest living by injuring and killing people.

28 And then the prophets in Israel cover up these sins by giving false visions. I have never spoken to them, but they lie and say they have a message from me. 29 The people themselves cheat and rob; they abuse the poor and take advantage of foreigners.

30 I looked for someone to defend the city and to protect it from my anger, as well as to stop me from destroying it. But I found no one. 31 So in my fierce anger, I will punish the Israelites for what they have done, and they will know that I am furious. I, the Lord, have spoken.

Os crimes de Jerusalém

1 O Senhor me disse o seguinte:

2 — Homem mortal, você está pronto para julgar a cidade que está cheia de assassinos? Mostre a ela todas as coisas vergonhosas que tem feito. 3 Conte a ela aquilo que eu, o Senhor Deus, estou dizendo: “Você, cidade assassina, matou muitas pessoas do seu próprio povo e se tornou impura fazendo ídolos e os adorando, e por isso o tempo do seu castigo está cada vez mais perto. 4 Você é culpada dessas mortes e se tornou impura por causa dos ídolos que fabricou, e por isso o seu dia está chegando, o seu tempo acabou. Foi por isso que deixei as outras nações caçoarem e zombarem de você. 5 Países de perto e de longe caçoam de você por ter fama de cidade de desordeiros. 6 Todas as autoridades de Israel confiam na sua própria força e cometem assassinatos. 7 Na cidade, ninguém honra o pai nem a mãe. Vocês maltratam os estrangeiros que moram no meio de vocês e exploram viúvas e órfãos. 8 Vocês não respeitam os lugares sagrados, nem guardam o sábado. 9 Uns dizem mentiras a respeito dos outros, que por causa disso são mortos. Alguns comem sacrifícios oferecidos aos ídolos. Outros estão sempre satisfazendo as suas paixões. 10 Outros têm relações sexuais com a mulher do seu próprio pai. Outros ainda obrigam mulheres que estão menstruadas a terem relações com eles. 11 Cometem adultério e seduzem as suas noras ou as suas meias-irmãs. 12 Alguns dos seus moradores matam por dinheiro. Outros emprestam dinheiro a juros e ficam ricos explorando os seus próprios irmãos israelitas. Eles esqueceram de mim. Sou eu, o Senhor Deus, quem está falando.

13 — “Vou acabar com as suas roubalheiras e com os seus crimes de morte. 14 Vocês pensam que ainda terão alguma coragem ou força bastante para levantar a mão quando eu acabar de agir contra vocês? Eu, o Senhor, estou falando e mantenho a minha palavra. 15 Espalharei o seu povo por todos os países e nações e porei um fim em todas as suas más ações. 16 Assim as outras nações olharão com nojo para vocês, e vocês saberão que eu sou o Senhor.”

A fornalha de refinação

17 O Senhor me disse o seguinte:

18 — Homem mortal, os israelitas não têm valor para mim. Eles são como a mistura de cobre, estanho, ferro e chumbo que sobra depois que a prata é refinada na fornalha. 19 Agora, eu, o Senhor Deus, estou lhes dizendo que eles são tão inúteis como essa mistura. Reunirei todos em Jerusalém, 20 como se fossem minério de prata, cobre, ferro, chumbo e estanho jogados numa fornalha de refinação. A minha ira e o meu furor os derreterão assim como o fogo derrete o minério. 21 Sim! Eu os ajuntarei em Jerusalém, porei fogo debaixo deles e os derreterei com a minha ira. 22 Eles se derreterão em Jerusalém assim como a prata é derretida na fornalha e aí ficarão sabendo que eu, o Senhor, derramei sobre eles a minha ira.

Os pecados das autoridades de Israel

23 O Senhor falou comigo de novo. Ele disse:

24 — Homem mortal, diga aos israelitas que a terra deles é impura e que eu os estou castigando por causa da minha ira. 25 As suas autoridades são como leões rugindo em cima dos animais que mataram. Matam as pessoas, tiram as suas propriedades e as suas riquezas e, por causa dos seus crimes de morte, deixam viúvas muitas mulheres. 26 Os sacerdotes desobedecem à minha Lei e não têm respeito por aquilo que é santo. Não fazem diferença entre o que é santo e o que não é. Não ensinam a diferença entre as coisas puras e as impuras e não respeitam o sábado. Como resultado disso, o povo de Israel não me respeita. 27 As autoridades são como lobos que despedaçam os animais que mataram. Matam para enriquecer. 28 Os profetas escondem esses pecados como quem pinta de branco uma parede. Eles têm visões falsas e fazem falsas profecias. Afirmam que falam a palavra do Senhor Deus, mas eu, o Senhor, não falei com eles. 29 Os ricos enganam e roubam. Eles maltratam os pobres e exploram estrangeiros.

30 — Procurei alguém que construísse uma muralha, alguém que ficasse nos lugares onde as muralhas desmoronaram e que defendesse a terra a fim de que a minha ira não a destruísse; porém não encontrei ninguém. 31 Por isso, farei cair o fogo da minha ira sobre eles e os destruirei como castigo pelo que eles têm feito. Eu, o Senhor Deus, falei.

It has cost me a lot to understand that BIG MAN is not the one who gets on top, nor the one who has the most money, house, car, or who lives surrounded by women, let alone the most beautiful.

A great man is that transparent human being, who does not take refuge behind curtains of smoke, is what opens his HEART without rejecting reality, is the one who admires a woman for its moral foundations and inner grandeur.

Courage to restart

How often the end of a relationship generates a devastating feeling, as if there were no more ground or references! Whether it is the end of a marriage, the loss of a loved one, a close friend who leaves, the fact is that it happens frequently.

I understand that it is difficult and the feeling of emptiness, suffering, mourning are inevitable in most cases. However, staying in the hole forever is a choice, a concession of the sufferer. There are people who cling to the emptiness of loss as if this emptiness could replace who left. It is almost like a kind of backward loyalty that makes the sufferer feel guilty for failing to suffer, clinging to the object of suffering as if it depended on it.

This does not realize that suffering also reveals to us, after all, it opens up where the voids, the fears, the zones of comfort that need to be faced. To face is a choice, to illuminate the dark corners of the soul with the light of the conscience is also a Choice that depends solely on each individual.

If you are suffering, fulfill your time of mourning in peace. Just do not forget that he has time to finish and, if you want, it will come out better than he entered. Let go of your pain so it does not rot and spoil you. It is necessary to walk and recover happiness along the way, in the gifts and compensations that life gives, in the courage to start over, to be again.

Coragem de recomeçar

Quantas vezes o fim de uma relação gera um sentimento devastador, como se não houvesse mais chão nem referências! Seja o fim de um casamento, a perda de um ente querido, um amigo próximo que vai embora, o fato é que acontece com frequência.

Entendo que seja difícil e o sentimento de vazio, o sofrimento, o luto são inevitáveis na maioria dos casos. No entanto, permanecer no buraco eternamente é uma escolha, uma concessão de quem sofre. Há pessoas que se agarram ao vazio da perda como se esse vazio pudesse substituir quem foi embora. É quase como um tipo de lealdade às avessas que faz o sofredor se sentir culpado por deixar de sofrer, apegando-se ao objeto do sofrimento como se dependesse disso.

Esse não percebe que sofrimento também nos revela, afinal, escancara aonde estão os vazios, os medos, as zonas de conforto que precisam serem encaradas. Encarar-se é uma escolha, iluminar os cantos sombrios da alma com a luz da consciência também é uma escolha que depende unicamente de cada individuo.

Se estiver sofrendo, cumpra seu tempo de luto em paz. Só não esqueça que ele tem tempo para terminar e, se você quiser, sairá melhor do que entrou. Desapegue-se da sua dor para que ela não apodreça e te estrague junto. É preciso caminhar e recuperar a felicidade no caminho, nos presentes e compensações que a vida dá, na coragem de recomeçar, de ser de novo.

Ele enxugará dos olhos deles todas as lágrimas

O novo céu e a nova terra

1 Então vi um novo céu e uma nova terra. O primeiro céu e a primeira terra desapareceram, e o mar sumiu. 2 E vi a Cidade Santa, a nova Jerusalém, que descia do céu. Ela vinha de Deus, enfeitada e preparada, vestida como uma noiva que vai se encontrar com o noivo. 3 Ouvi uma voz forte que vinha do trono, a qual disse:

— Agora a morada de Deus está entre os seres humanos! Deus vai morar com eles, e eles serão os povos dele. O próprio Deus estará com eles e será o Deus deles. 4 Ele enxugará dos olhos deles todas as lágrimas. Não haverá mais morte, nem tristeza, nem choro, nem dor. As coisas velhas já passaram.

5 Aquele que estava sentado no trono disse:

— Agora faço novas todas as coisas!

E também me disse:

— Escreva isto, pois estas palavras são verdadeiras e merecem confiança.

6 E continuou:

— Tudo está feito! Eu sou o Alfa e o Ômega, o Princípio e o Fim. A quem tem sede darei água para beber, de graça, da fonte da água da vida. 7 Aqueles que conseguirem a vitória receberão de mim este presente: eu serei o Deus deles, e eles serão meus filhos. 8 Mas os covardes, os traidores, os que cometem pecados nojentos, os assassinos, os imorais, os que praticam a feitiçaria, os que adoram ídolos e todos os mentirosos, o lugar dessas pessoas é o lago onde queima o fogo e o enxofre, que é a segunda morte.
