He who jabs an eye produces tears

Ecclesiasticus, 22

"6.An untimely explanation is like music in a time of mourning. But the sharp correction and doctrine of wisdom are ever timely. 

7.Whoever teaches the foolish is like someone who glues together a broken pot. 

8.Whoever explains a word to one who is not listening is like someone who suddenly awakens a sleeping person from a deep sleep. 

9.Whoever explains wisdom to the senseless is like one speaking to a sleeping person. And at the end of the explanation, he says: “Who is this?” 

10.Weep over the dead, for his light has failed. And weep over the foolish, for his understanding has failed. 

11.Weep only a little over the dead, for he is at rest. 

12.But the wicked life of a wicked fool is worse than death. 

13.The mourning for the dead is seven days; but for the foolish and the impious, it is all the days of their life. 

14.You should not talk at length with the foolish, and you should not go with the senseless. 15.Keep yourself from him, so that you may not have problems, and so that you will not be polluted by his sin. 

16.Turn away from him, and you will find rest, and you will not be discouraged by his foolishness. 

17.What is heavier than lead? And what else can he be called but foolish? 

18.Sand, and salt, and an iron weight are each easier to bear than an imprudent man, who is both foolish and impious. 

19.A bundle of wood strapped together in the foundation of a building will not be loosened. And similar is the heart that has been strengthened by thoughtful counsel. 

20.The thoughts of one who is understanding will not be corrupted by fear in any situation. 

21.Just as chaff in a high place, or a wall made of mortar without stones set within, will not continue against the face of the wind, 22.so also a timid heart, and the thoughts of the senseless, will not withstand the forcefulness of fear. 

23.Despite a cowardly heart, the thoughts of the foolish will not fear any situation; yet neither will one who continues always in the precepts of God. 

24.He who jabs an eye produces tears. And he who jabs the heart produces understanding. 

25.He who throws a stone at birds will drive them away. So also, he who accuses his friend dissolves the friendship. 

26.But if you have drawn a sword against a friend, you should not despair; for there may be a way back. 

27.If you have opened a harsh mouth against a friend, you should not fear; for there may be a reconciliation. However, if there are accusations, or abuse, or arrogance, or the revealing of secrets, or a wound from deceitfulness, in all these cases, a friend will flee away.

6.Uma palavra inoportuna é música em dia de luto; a sabedoria, porém, emprega com oportunidade o chicote e a instrução. 
7.Instruir um insensato é tornar a ajustar um vaso quebrado; 
8.falar a quem não ouve é como despertar alguém de um sono profundo. 
9.Falar da sabedoria com um insensato é conversar com alguém que está adormecendo; no fim da conversa ele dirá: Que é? 
10.Chora sobre um morto, porque ele perdeu a luz; chora sobre um tolo, porque é falho de juízo. 
11.Chora menos sobre um morto, porque ele achou o repouso; 
12.a vida criminosa do mau, porém, é pior do que a morte. 
13.O luto por um morto dura sete dias, mas por um insensato e um ímpio, dura toda a sua vida. 
14.Não fales muito com um estulto; não convivas com o insensato. 
15.Acautela-te contra ele, para não seres incomodado; e não te mancharás com o contágio de seu pecado. 
16.Afasta-te dele: encontrarás repouso, e a sua loucura não te causará mágoa. 
17.O que há de mais pesado que o chumbo? E que outro nome dar-lhe a não ser o de insensato? 
18.É mais fácil carregar areia, sal ou uma barra de ferro, do que suportar o imprudente, o tolo e o ímpio. 
19.Um encaixamento de madeira adaptado aos alicerces de um edifício não se desconjunta. Assim é o coração firmado por uma decisão bem amadurecida. 
20.O desígnio de um homem sensato, em qualquer tempo que seja, não será alterado pelo temor. 
21.Como a estacada posta em lugar elevado e a parede sem argamassa não podem resistir à violência do vento, 22.assim um coração tímido, de pensamentos tolos, não pode resistir ao choque do temor. 
23.O coração medroso do insensato jamais tem temor em seus pensamentos; assim também o que não se apóia nos preceitos divinos. 
24.Quem machuca um olho, dele faz sair lágrimas; quem magoa um coração, nele excita a sensibilidade. 
25.Quem lança uma pedra aos pássaros, fá-los fugir; assim, quem insulta um amigo, rompe a amizade. 
26.Ainda que tenhas arrancado a espada contra o teu amigo, não desesperes; porque o regresso é possível. 
27.Ainda que tenhas dito contra ele palavras desagradáveis, não temas, porque a reconciliação é possível, salvo se se tratar de injúrias, afrontas, insolências, revelação de um segredo ou golpes à traição; em todos esses casos fugirá de ti o teu amigo. 

Aqueles que saíram chorando, levando a semente para semear, voltarão cantando...

1 Quando o Senhor Deus nos trouxe de volta para Jerusalém, parecia que estávamos sonhando.

2 Como rimos e cantamos de alegria! Então as outras nações disseram: “O Senhor fez grandes coisas por eles!”

3 De fato, o Senhor fez grandes coisas por nós, e por isso estamos alegres.

4 Ó Senhor, faze com que prosperemos de novo, assim como a chuva enche de novo o leito seco dos rios.

5 Que aqueles que semeiam chorando façam a colheita com alegria!

6 Aqueles que saíram chorando, levando a semente para semear, voltarão cantando, cheios de alegria, trazendo nos braços os feixes da colheita.

Entendi, acho que a minha tarefa foi cumprida... 

Hora de seguir o meu caminho, obrigada meu Pai por te-la a mim confiado. 

Agradeço pela paz e a alegria que sinto agora.

Celebrating the Harvest

1 It seemed like a dream when the Lord brought us back to the city of Zion.126.1 brought … Zion: Or “made the city of Zion prosperous again.”

2 We celebrated with laughter and joyful songs.

In foreign nations it was said, “The Lord has worked miracles for his people.”

3 And so we celebrated because the Lord had indeed worked miracles for us.

4 Our Lord, we ask you to bless our people again, and let us be like streams in the Southern Desert.

5 We cried as we went out to plant our seeds. Now let us celebrate as we bring in the crops.

6 We cried on the way to plant our seeds, but we will celebrate and shout as we bring in the crops.

I understand, I think my task was fulfilled ...

Listen to me, my son, and acquire knowledge

1.Do not desire a multitude of useless children, nor rejoice in ungodly sons. 2.If they multiply , do not rejoice in them, unless the fear of the Lord is in them. 3.Do not trust in their survival, and do not rely on their multitude; for one is better than a thousand, and to die childless is better than to have ungodly children. 4.For through one man of understanding a city will be filled with people, but through a tribe of lawless men it will be made desolate. 5.Many such things my eye has seen, and my ear has heard things more striking than these. 6.In an assembly of sinners a fire will be kindled, and in a disobedient nation wrath was kindled. 7.He was not propitiated for the ancient giants who revolted in their might. 8.He did not spare the neighbors of Lot, whom he loathed on account of their insolence. 9.He showed no pity for a nation devoted to destruction, for those destroyed in their sins; 10.nor for the six hundred thousand men on foot, who rebelliously assembled in their stubbornness. 11.Even if there is only one stiff-necked person, it will be a wonder if he remains unpunished. For mercy and wrath are with the Lord; he is mighty to forgive, and he pours out wrath. 12.As great as his mercy, so great is also his reproof; he judges a man according to his deeds. 13.The sinner will not escape with his plunder, and the patience of the godly will not be frustrated. 14.He will make room for every act of mercy; every one will receive in accordance with his deeds. 17.Do not say, "I shall be hidden from the Lord, and who from on high will remember me? Among so many people I shall not be known, for what is my soul in the boundless creation? 18.Behold, heaven and the highest heaven, the abyss and the earth, will tremble at his visitation. 19.The mountains also and the foundations of the earth shake with trembling when he looks upon them. 20.And no mind will reflect on this. Who will ponder his ways? 21.Like a tempest which no man can see, so most of his works are concealed. 22.Who will announce his acts of justice? Or who will await them? For the covenant is far off." 23.This is what one devoid of understanding thinks; a senseless and misguided man thinks foolishly. 24.Listen to me, my son, and acquire knowledge, and pay close attention to my words. 25.I will impart instruction by weight, and declare knowledge accurately. 26.The works of the Lord have existed from the beginning by his creation, and when he made them, he determined their divisions. 27.He arranged his works in an eternal order, and their dominion for all generations; they neither hunger nor grow weary, and they do not cease from their labors. 28.They do not crowd one another aside, and they will never disobey his word. 29.After this the Lord looked upon the earth, and filled it with his good things; 30.with all kinds of living beings he covered its surface, and to it they return." 

Não te detenhas no erro dos ímpios

"1.Deus criou o homem da terra, formou-o segundo a sua própria imagem; 2.e o fez de novo voltar à terra. Revestiu-o de força segundo a sua natureza; 3.determinou-lhe uma época e um número de dias. Deu-lhe domínio sobre tudo o que está na terra. 4.Fê-lo temido por todos os seres vivos, fê-lo senhor dos animais e dos pássaros. 5.De sua própria substância, deu-lhe uma companheira semelhante a ele, com inteligência, língua, olhos, ouvidos, e juízo para pensar; cumulou-os de saber e inteligência. 6.Criou neles a ciência do espírito, encheu-lhes o coração de sabedoria, e mostrou-lhes o bem e o mal. 7.Pôs o seu olhar nos seus corações para mostrar-lhes a majestade de suas obras, 8.a fim de que celebrassem a santidade do seu nome, e o glorificassem por suas maravilhas, apregoando a magnificência de suas obras. 9.Deu-lhes, além disso, a instrução, deu-lhes a posse da lei da vida; 10.concluiu com eles um pacto eterno, e revelou-lhes a justiça de seus preceitos. 11.Viram com os próprios olhos as maravilhas da sua glória, seus ouvidos ouviram a majestade de sua voz: Guardai-vos, disse-lhes ele, de toda a iniquidade. 12.Impôs a cada um (deveres) para com o próximo. 13.O proceder deles lhe está sempre diante dos olhos, nada lhe escapa. 14.Pôs um príncipe à testa de cada povo; 15.Israel, porém, foi visivelmente o quinhão do próprio Deus. 16.Todas as suas obras lhe são claras como o sol, e seus olhos observam sem cessar o seu proceder. 17.As leis de Deus não são eclipsadas pela iniquidade deles, e todos os pecados que cometem estão diante do Senhor. 18.A esmola do homem é para ele como um selo, e ele conserva a beneficência do homem como a pupila dos olhos. 19.Depois se levantará para dar a cada um o que lhe é devido, e fá-los-á voltar às profundezas da terra. 20.Aos penitentes, porém, abre o caminho da justiça: conforta os desfalecidos, e conserva-lhes a verdade como destino. 21.Converte-te ao Senhor, abandona os teus pecados. 22.Ora diante dele e diminui as ocasiões de pecado. 23.Volta para o Senhor, afasta-te de tua injustiça, e detesta o que causa horror a Deus. 24.Conhece a justiça e os juízos de Deus; permanece firme no estado em que ele te colocou, e na oração constante ao Altíssimo. 25.Anda na companhia do povo santo, com os que vivem e proclamam a glória de Deus. 26.Não te detenhas no erro dos ímpios, louva a Deus antes da morte; 27.após a morte nada mais há, o louvor terminou. Glorifica a Deus enquanto viveres; glorifica-o enquanto tiveres vida e saúde; louva a Deus e glorifica-o em suas misericórdias. 28.Quão grande é a misericórdia do Senhor, e o perdão que concede àqueles que para ele se voltam! 29.Pois não se pode encontrar tudo nos homens, porque os homens não são imortais, e se comprazem na vaidade e na malícia. 30.O que há de mais luminoso do que o sol? E, entretanto, ele tem eclipses. O que há de mais criminoso do que os pensamentos da carne e do sangue? Ora, isso será castigado. 31.O sol contempla a multidão dos astros do céu, enquanto que todos os homens são apenas terra e cinza."
