7 Good people may die early, but they will be at rest.

8 True respect isn't gained merely by growing old — 9 people are honored because of their wisdom and goodness.

10 Enoch, a person God loved and who pleased him, was living among sinners.

But God took him away 11 to protect his mind and soul from the influence of evil.

12 Even the most innocent person can be deceived and destroyed by sinful thoughts.

Não conseguem compreender 15 que Deus é bom e misericordioso, com os que ele escolhe,

nem entendem que ele guarda o seu povo.

16 Mesmo depois de morrerem, os justos continuam a condenar os ímpios ainda vivos; e os que morrem jovens condenam os ímpios que vivem muitos anos.

17 Eles veem que o sábio morre, mas não entendem o que o Senhor está a planear para ele

18 Olham o sábio com desprezo, mas o Senhor há de rir-se deles.
