Like a prison without a lock ...

The Egyptians Are Struck by Terror
Solomon continues praying:
1 Your decisions are difficult to explain, and people who have not been taught have followed the wrong path. 2 For example, those lawless Egyptians thought that your chosen people were under their power. But they themselves became prisoners in their very own homes for a long, dark night, because they were not under the protection of your eternal care. 3-4 Ws 18.14-19; 2 Macc 3.25-29; 3 Macc 6.18. They thought that you had forgotten and that their secret sins were hidden behind a curtain of darkness, when gruesome creatures seemed to appear. Nowhere in their homes were they safe from the fear of terrifying noises and the frightening faces of gloomy ghosts. 5 On that miserable night, the darkness was so thick that neither flaming lamps nor bright stars could be seen. 6 And when lightning flashed, the fearsome sight was worse than the darkness.17.6 darkness: One possible meaning for the difficult Greek text of verse 6.
7 The Egyptians had depended on their magical powers and had boasted about their great wisdom, but all of this proved useless. 8 There were some who said they could cure the fears and worries of sick minds, but they themselves became sick with foolish fear. 9 Even if nothing else frightened them, they were terrified by the sounds of wild animals outside and by hissing snakes. 10 They were so frightened that they refused to open their eyes. But keeping them closed did not relieve their fears, 11 because evil people are cowards condemned by their own consciences, and whatever they fear becomes even more frightening.17.11 evil people … frightening: One possible meaning for the difficult Greek text.
12 Fear takes over when people stop reasoning. 13 They no longer think straight, and their only hope is to deny the real source of their problems. 14 Night itself is powerless, since it comes from the powerless world of the dead. And yet the Egyptians slept restlessly on that night, 15 because of the horrible and unexpected nightmares brought on by the surrender of their souls to the forces of evil. 16-17 Every one of the Egyptians—including farmers and shepherds—fell prisoner to the fear of a darkness that was more difficult to escape than iron chains. 18-19 The slightest noise made them paralyzed with fear—the songs of birds in the trees, the rhythm of rushing water, the surprising crash of a rock, the hoofbeats of animals jumping about, the roar of lions, or even an echo in the mountains.
20 Everywhere else in the world, everyone went about their own business in broad daylight, 21 while these Egyptians were covered with a heavy blanket of darkness like the darkness of death that would soon capture them. But the trouble they brought upon themselves was an even heavier burden than the darkness.

The someone's visit

Today when I woke up, I realized that a lot of things were different around me. Yes; The sunshine was different, the scent of the flowers was different, the tune of my favorite song was different and even my heart was different.
That's when I discovered that during my night of sleep I had a beautiful dream with you, but who are you?
Then I sat on my bed and searched in my memory what I had dreamed of you, where it made me feel that life was different.
For a few moments I felt empty, my eyes lost in direction, but concentrated in the hope of discovering the message my dream wanted to reveal to me.
I looked around and really everything was at odds with my knowledge, where I came to have the feeling that someone had actually visited me that night.
But who? And why did you move and change the pieces of my life? Suddenly, I realize that the answers were far from me, but at the same time, I had the feeling that you are still here with me watching.
No, please do not let me get caught up in this huge interrogation that is inside me.
I need to find out who you are who had free access to visit my dream and my life.
Still aware of this situation, I noticed a folded note on the table in my room. I began to feel confused, wanting to open it and also fear and insecurity. However, I knew it was not an illusion or fantasy that I was involved in from the moment I woke up, because there is a feeling for you, without even knowing who you really are. This feeling encouraged me to take the note. I was surprised because the note was totally blank ... but from this moment I came to feel the voice of the person who visited my dream in my being and I asked him:
- Who showed you my life?
"Who told you my secrets?"
Yes, you are the woman of my dreams and it was who I created it, according to my wishes. I dream every night of having her in my life.
I carry a certainty that someday you will leave my dreams and be part of my reality.

Esse sentimento me encorajou a pegar o bilhete.
- Quem te mostrou a minha vida?

Why do you talk so much when you know so little?

The Lord Speaks
From Out of a Storm
1 From out of a storm, the Lord said to Job:
2 Why do you talk so much when you know so little?
3 Now get ready to face me!
Can you answer the questions I ask?
4 How did I lay the foundation for the earth? Were you there?
5 Doubtless you know who decided its length and width.
6 What supports the foundation? Who placed the cornerstone,
7 Ba 3.34.  while morning stars sang, and angels rejoiced?
8 Jr 5.22.  When the ocean was born, I set its boundaries 9 and wrapped it in blankets of thickest fog.
10 Then I built a wall around it, locked the gates, 11and said, “Your powerful waves stop here!
They can go no farther.”
Did You Ever Tell the Sun To Rise?
12 Did you ever tell the sun to rise? And did it obey?
13 Did it take hold of the earth and shake out the wicked like dust from a rug?
14 Early dawn outlines the hills like stitches on clothing or sketches on clay.
15 But its light is too much for those who are evil, and their power is broken.
16 Job, have you ever walked on the ocean floor?
17 Have you seen the gate to the world of the dead?
18 And how large is the earth? Tell me, if you know!
19 Where is the home of light, and where does darkness live?
20 Can you lead them home?
21 I'm certain you must be able to, since you were already born when I created everything.
22 Have you been to the places where I keep snow and hail, 23 until I use them to punish
and conquer nations?
24 From where does lightning leap, or the east wind blow?
25 Who carves out a path for thunderstorms? Who sends torrents of rain 26 on empty deserts where no one lives?
27 Rain that changes barren land to meadows green with grass.
28 Who is the father of the dew and of the rain?
29 Who gives birth to the sleet and the frost 30 that fall in winter, when streams and lakes
freeze solid as a rock?
Can You Arrange Stars?
31 Job 9.9; Am 5.8.  Can you arrange stars in groups such as Orion and the Pleiades?
32 Do you control the stars or set in place the Big Dipper and the Little Dipper?
33 Do you know the laws that govern the heavens, and can you make them rule the earth?
34 Can you order the clouds to send a downpour, 35 or will lightning flash at your command?
36 Did you teach birds to know that rain or floods are on their way?
38.36 way: One possible meaning for the difficult Hebrew text of verse 36.
37 Can you count the clouds or pour out their water  38 on the dry, lumpy soil?
39 When lions are hungry, do you help them hunt?
40 Do you send an animal into their den?
4 1And when starving young ravens cry out to me for food, do you satisfy their hunger?

38.1—42.6
Primeira resposta do Senhor a Jó
38.1—40.2
Quem faz a chuva, o orvalho, a geada e o gelo?
27 Quem rega as terras secas e despovoadas, fazendo nascer nelas o capim?

You’ll speak my words to them whether they listen or whether they refuse.

Ezekiel’s commissioning
1 The voice said to me: Human one, stand on your feet, and I’ll speak to you. 2 As he spoke to me, a windOr spirit came to me and stood me on my feet, and I heard someone addressing me. 3 He said to me: Human one, I’m sending you to the Israelites, a traitorous and rebellious people. They and their ancestors have been rebelling against me to this very day. 4 I’m sending you to their hardheaded and hard-hearted descendants, and you will say to them: The LORD God proclaims. 5 Whether they listen or whether they refuse, since they are a household of rebels, they will know that a prophet has been among them.
6 And as for you, human one, don’t be afraid of them or their words. Don’t be afraid! You possess thistles and thorns that subdue scorpions.Or thistles and thorns are with you, and you sit on scorpions. Don’t be afraid of their words or shrink from their presence, because they are a household of rebels. 7 You’ll speak my words to them whether they listen or whether they refuse. They are just a householdLXX, Syr, Tg; MT lacks household. of rebels!
8 As for you, human one, listen to what I say to you. Don’t become rebellious like that household of rebels. Open your mouth and eat what I give you. 9 Then I looked, and there in a hand stretched out to me was a scroll. 10He spread it open in front of me, and it was filled with writing on both sides, songs of mourning, lamentation, and doom.
